CANCER CARE and CHRONIC ILLNESSES

Here, at the North End Surgery, we offer comprehensive cancer care for all ages. This includes support for both you the patient and, if requested, your immediate family. We will support you from the very start, ideally immediately following your diagnosis. We can help you counterbalance any experience of negative feelings - thoughts of desolation or fear - with a renewed purpose to life and a resolve to confront your illness in a positive manner.

We offer physical, mental and emotional support, along with spiritual fulfilment and inner peace, to help you through your conventional treatment whether it be chemotherapy, radiation or surgery.

Complementary medical treatments safely run parallel to, and do not interfere with, any orthodox programme you may be undertaking. Instead they will enhance your sense of well being. As no two patients have the same requirements, the complementary cancer care programmes at North End Surgery are individually designed. During the first visit your complementary consultant will discuss with you which combination of therapies will be best for your particular cancer.

The therapies you may be offered include:

  • Dietary advice along with specialised supplements and medicaments.
  • Herbal medicine which can play a major role in enhancing your digestive system and supporting your immune system.
  • Homeopathic remedies which are available both for the various types of cancer and the specific area of your body affected by the illness.
  • Elemental minerals, enzymes and vitamins specifically formulated for the type and location of your cancer, can help regenerate healthy cells. This is particularly useful in chemotherapy.
  • Osteopathy after surgery for help with your posture.
  • Aromatherapy which can both relax and calm the nervous system and also stimulate the immune response to the illness.
  • Counselling has a very important role to play in cancer care. Here we can help you manage the stress of the illness by discussing your past case history in an endeavour to find the trigger or event that caused the cancer cells to develop. We can then help eradicate those patterns in the cells that acted as the trigger. Correcting cell memory is all-important in cancer care along with critical path imagery, re-establishing goals and ambitions and a renewed purpose to your life.

We believe the most important part of your cancer care treatment is to offer and carry out appropriate treatments at appropriate times for as long as you have symptoms.
